MDW in NASH: where to eat, drink & shop
Happy Memorial Day Weekend!! We are gearing up for another amazing weekend in Nashville, filled with endless rooftop drinks, requesting Luke Combs on Broadway and stocking up on cowgirl boots at Boot Barn! Here are this weekend’s top spots to spend the official start of summer in Music City!
Eat & Drink:
Pinky Ring Pizza:
We have been DYING to try this brand new NY-style pizza place in East Nashville! Not only did they have the most amazing pizza, their entire vibe just brought us so much joy. From the branding to the aesthetic, this place did not disappoint! I’m a bit of a pizza purist, so the classic pepperoni was my go-to. But, when I saw pickle pizza on the menu, I knew it was calling my name. The bibb salad and garlic bread, plus a Bravazzi Hard Italian Soda made for the perfect early summer meal!
Harriet’s Rooftop @ 1 Hotel Nashville:
The new 1 Hotel in Downtown Nashville is beyond gorgeous, and the new Harriet’s rooftop bar is just an extension of the rest of this stunning hotel! The margaritas were great, but the view and vibe of this place was even better!
Jacqueline at The Optimist:
The Optimist is one of my all-time favorite restaurants in Nashville, in one of my favorite neighborhoods, Germantown! Their fun outdoor bar, Jacqueline, is the perfect spot for after-work drinks or a chill weekend meet-up! Their frozen drinks were so good & so much fun! & they have a few seafood-based snacks for a refreshing and light happy hour!
Heirloom Rooftop @ Holston House
This BRAND NEW rooftop bar just opened a few weeks ago & is on the absolute top of my list of places to try this weekend! It’s centrally located downtown at the Houston House Hotel, and features Nashville’s first rooftop garden. They also have Afternoon Tea, which is truly one of my favorite things of ALL TIME! The afternoon tea menu is beautifully traditional, while the rest of the rooftop bar menu features southern classics; think pork rinds, nashville hot boiled peanuts, and frozen ambrosia. Don’t forget about the Spicy Pink Guava Margarita!
Shop:
A Shop Of Things:
This store is like walking into your Y2K girly girl dream come true!! It is the perfect place to shop for gifts, fun knickknacks, or something to treat yourself with! It also provides some unmatched interior design inspo, from the hanging disco balls, all-pink-everything, and unbelievable framed artwork that covers the walls!
Crue:
Crue is located in 12 South, one of my absolute favorite Nashville neighborhoods! It is a gorgeous space filled with all things athleisure, athletic wear, swim & matching sets (aka my daily uniform). They carry some of my favorite brands like Boys Lie, Year of Ours, and so much more!! I recently bought the perfect athletic dress, and had to restrain myself from buying another Boys Lie sweat set that I KNOW I would literally live in!
